Police Officer

Qualifications:
- Minimum age 21
- Valid Texas Driver's License, with good driving record
- No DWI arrests within the last 5 years
- High School Graduate, G.E.D., or 12 College Hours
- U.S. Citizen
- No felony convictions or on probation for other crimes
- No criminal convictions resulting from family violence
- Honorable Military Discharge, if applicable
- Must pass physical agility, medical and psychological exam
- Background investigation and oral interview
- Medical, Dental and Prescription Drug Insurance (employee premium paid by City)
- Retirement (TMRS) 6% employee contribution 2:1 City Contribution; 5-year vesting; 20-year retirement; military service credit; restricted service credit
- Paid Vacation (1 week available after 6 month of employment); Paid Sick Leave - available after 3 months of employment; 11 Paid Holidays (includes Employee's Birthday)
- Uniforms and Leather Gear Provided
- Starting pay of $25.10/hour ($54,820 annual)

- College Tuition Reimbursement - Available after 1 year of employment
- Take home vehicle (Fleet Program) Must live in Moore County
- Continuing Education and Training Oppurtunities
- Sign-On/Relocation Allowance - $1,500 when hired, $1,500 at 1 year (available only to officers hired for first time, rehires not eligible)
