Police Officer

Qualifications:
  • Minimum age 21
  • Valid Texas Driver's License, with good driving record
  • No DWI arrests within the last 5 years
  • High School Graduate, G.E.D., or 12 College Hours
  • U.S. Citizen
  • No felony convictions or on probation for other crimes
  • No criminal convictions resulting from family violence
  • Honorable Military Discharge, if applicable
  • Must pass physical agility, medical and psychological exam
  • Background investigation and oral interview

  • Starting pay of $25.10/hour ($54,820 annual)

  • Take home vehicle (Fleet Program) Must live in Moore County

  • Sign-On/Relocation Allowance - $1,500 when hired, $1,500 at 1 year (available only to officers hired for first time, rehires not eligible)
